Iliad is the holding company for companies such as Free, scaleway, freebox and many others.
They had an entirely static site used to publish press and financial releases for the financial markets regulator, shareholders and institutional players.
Iliad’s management wanted to keep the site extremely simple, with a look and feel that resembled a series of links, with no graphic elements apart from the logo.
The redesign project applied these guidelines right down to the backend.
The site was designed in php/mysql, and consisted of a single server-side php file providing display, administration and time-stamped publication scheduling functions, while maintaining a very high level of security, as publication information is governed by insider trading legislation.
Another challenge was to migrate all the documents referenced on the static site and re-import them into a mysql database.
